Wow Jan, I tried but just couldn't do it! Looks like you missed the graphics day at Analytics are Us!!
Just looks like teams are pretty close in most areas give or take. Will be a good test to see if 82 game numbers mean anything at all after its all said & done. From memory pretty sure the numbers meant squat last year after it was completed but this years a new round with new players. Let's hope that the Pens can keep producing & the goals keep coming!
May the best team win (& a poster or 2 of yours gets a ban early ), & it be a good hard (not controversial) series!
Let's Goooooooooo Peeeeeeeennnnnnnnnssssssssssssss.
Edit: Winnik came on board late in a ' blockbuster' trade - Blake Comeu may have been the player hitting through the season with Downie, although pretty sure Kunitz topped with Tanger. |

So I read Travis Yost's "prediction" article on TSN...
(YAWN).
He "predicted" all of the top seeded teams to win. I'm sorry but there's so much more to playoff hockey then boring and emotionless graphs. I'm not calling it out because he didn't pick the Rangers. I'm calling it out as a hockey fan who has witnessed almost 25 years of upsets and close series.
Sorry I realize this topic has been beaten pretty good here. Just needed to vent about how a so called expert, who normally is a good read, can cop out so easily and pick all the top seeds.
Anyway all that out of the way now PLAYOFF HOCKEY TONIGHT!!! |

Quite the flop by the Flower. Listen, hank is gonna get teased cause of the incident last month here w us playing Pitsburgh again. Best way to give it back to them is to win the damn series. |

You can actually see the rags player throw his elbow at the goalies face as he runs into him. You guys are using an attempted dirty play to defend yourselves? Haha classy. |

Guys.... lets just all be friends and be happy in the fact that we don't have to deal with any of the Canadian team's fanbases, or Chicago in this series. Sound good? |

pumped up -- don't care about who was hot in the regular season (Pens) and who had a rough finish (Rag$).
Playoffs is a completely different season. Throw everything out the window, lets go! |

When was the last time the Pens had a series that wasn't controversial?
And it's always been the Pens fans and media that are the ones that make it controversial - rangerdanger94
Uh...last year against the Rangers...no real controversy.
That was easy, you have any tougher questions? |

Now that's a great play. If I'm Kreider I'd do exactly the same (elbow to head & try & contact with my hips if the elbow missed), & if I'm Flower, I'd dive at the knee joint (he has turned side on providing a perfect target), to take out his knee & claim self defence - which would be completely acceptable considering the elbow & hips! I wonder if I would have been a good hockey player??? |
